Local Government Briefings

The Bay Area IRWMP Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) is conducting a series of briefings for top level City and County staff throughout the region. Ensuring a strong partnership among local governments and regional water agencies is a necessity to make this planning effort successful.

Specifically, working closely with staff from local agencies is necessary to:

  • Make sure that regional goals and objectives incorporate local concerns, particularly as regards land use planning, and
  • Ensure that locally important water projects are on the regional list of priority projects that will compete for future bond monies from the state.

At these meetings, we will introduce the IRWMP timeline and objectives, and ask for feedback on the draft IRWMP.
